Jersey Shore Band, Mission Dance, performs at Presidential Inaugural Ball 2025
Mission Dance, a long-standing name in the Jersey Shore music scene, had quite a busy weekend performing in our nation’s capital.
Members Jeff Comer (keyboards, musical director), Keith Bonner (lead vocals), Courtnay Painter (lead vocals), Nicole Cocco (lead vocals), Mike Nappi (guitar, lead vocals), JP LaStella (bass, lead vocals), Mike Advensky (drums), Scott Murdock (saxophone), Ray Vansco (trumpet), and Don Shaner (trombone) were honored to perform at two inaugural galas.
Mission Dance along with 107 Production’s Booking Agency, worked together with two inaugural committees, put together busy weekend in Washington DC that included rehearsals, sound checks and two major performances.
The first event was for the Florida’s Sunshine Ball, taking place Saturday, January 18th, at the Conrad Hotel. Kid Rock headlined, performing for the crowd between Mission Dance’s sets.
The second was the Starlight Ball at the jam packed, Washington DC’s Union Station. The Starlight Ball was the third and final presidential inaugural ball that occurred Monday, January 20th. Mission Dance played an opening set, in addition to backing up the musical highlight of the evening, headliner, Gavin Degraw. The set included four of his songs: Chariot, Not Over You, Soldier, and I Don’t Wanna Be.
Additional musical entertainment that evening was provided by the US Military’s “Pershing’s Own”.
